In the last couple of months I saw a few threads about camera bags/cases/backpacks and what people really wanted was something that can fit their Red in there and its ready to shoot. I just saw today that Fstop anounced a new bag and by the video and their discription it looks like it can fit a Red Epic with rails and monitor mounted on top. By some photos it looks like you can put the big Alexa in there as well!!!

I have few of their bags already and the quality is really good so I dont have much doubt this wont be a good backpack all in all.
Any thoughts on that? I kinda just wish they would make black/blue or black/red design like their Loka UL.

here is the video of the guys over at Sherpas Cinema about the bag

These F-stop bags look good but it would be nice if they had wheels and retractable handle.

Good luck as a carry on, but super if you are a big guy who wants to ship this inside a hard case.

This backpack looks great. Does anyone know the external dimensions?

They have a roller as well and as far as I know they are doing a new one as well so it might fit the same ICU so you can just swap the roller for the backpack whenever you need to.

also same goes for airplanes, i usually brake down things for flying as i can fit more into a bag that way so you just use the small backpack for carry-on and a big one for check-in bag and when you reach your hotel just swap the backpacks and you are ready!

Once you use the Satori you will never regret it. No way the Shinn is going in an overhead or under the seat. Just use nato rails for your handle and 5".

Yes to the Satori!!

I have that bag and it has been able to carry a built, Dragon, with all sorts of kit along with it (not on external cases, although I do use those as well, as required. I recently rented the camera out, with nine inch RED mo itor, PAG batteries, etc., etc. and the job went swimmingly. Love tha build quality and modularity.

Waiting on more from F stop. The Shinn looks fantastic, as long as the end user can handle the kit... I would rather have the SHinn, use additional padding for select pieces, etc.

Stay tuned for F Stop updates...

Thank you very much

Perfect timing for F-Stop to 'focus on a Cine bag!

When someone works out the 'make sure you include this in your Pre-order' list ...please share :)

Anyone thinking of organising a GB ... I need two bags (when they start shipping in 4 months)!

I have something that is going to be GB, fro, F Stop that I have been working on for months. The Shinn won't be in that particular GB, but there possibly a value added package, for REdUSERS. The new GB rules make that concept difficult, however. Nonetheless, That bag does offer a lotta advantage. I sure have enjoyed the Satori on several occasions, notably the last major So Cal swells, at the wedge and in a few other preferred locations. I just built the camera, loaded in the bag, had the 1030DS along as wetland quick setup/break down and transport.

The GB that will be posted for one of F Stops other bags, will have a few links to photos of a different application as well, if all goes well.

Thank you very much

I wished that they had beefed up the suspension and straps. I have a Satori EXP and think that it's the best option out there as it can be multi-use. For example I carried all of my gear to Kauai in it. Then I re-purposed the bag to take select gear and the rest was hiking gear to go on the Napali coast. So this is great and I couldn't have easily done this with another bag.

But I don't always find the suspension comfortable compared to a dedicated top loading hiking backpack. I think that having the rear access is a compromise on comfort with a huge win for camera access. The ICUs hang from the frame with velcro and I wonder if something more substantial would improve the weight distribution. My other hiking bags have a sturdier waist strap as well. I can load my child up into a kid hiking backpack carrier which is also very comfortable and very sturdy.

Don't get me wrong, I love the bag and think it is the best option out there. But I was hoping the next iteration would include some comfort features. I realize that this could just be my body and for others it is super comfortable for the long haul.
