Is This Real or Even Possibly Close???

[Frank Glencairn]

Yeah, it's quite amazing what comes out of this little camera.

I shot this a while ago. It started as a camera test, without wanting to just shoot flowers and cats in the backyard.
Make sure you watch it full res. And yeah, this was before BM fixed the white orbs in bright spots.

Her is some background information on gear, my thoughts and BTS: http://frankglencairn.wordpress.com...-a-short-with-the-bmc-pocket-and-much-coffee/

Awesome work Frank! I guess those orbs showed their ugly heads at the end though!

[Frank Glencairn]

Yeah, they only came up if you really overblew it, like shooting into car lights.

It's fixed now anyway.

LOL, WOW Frank, in ALL HONESTY I can tell you that Blackmagic Design owes YOU my $1000 (Even though I bought it used). This "THE ONE" short single handedly sold me on the BMPCC. Without you and what you did in this piece, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Thank You... GREAT WORK. Greatly Inspiring.

[Eric Santiago]

Great work Frank, who wrote this?

No creds?

[Frank Glencairn]

Lukas Schuler, the director.

Was the fix firmware related? Or did the cameras have to be sent back?

[Frank Glencairn]

It was not a firmware fix like the black sun spot, you have to send the camera in for recalibrating.
The last 1 or 2 batches are coming already recalibrated out of the box, so it's a no-brainer now.

[Adam Johnson]

Nice work Frank! I loved the look of it.

Heres to hoping they make a 4K version of the pocket in a couple years

[Saumene Mehrdady]

I have a pocket as a personal camera and use it for simple stuff/run and gun work. It's great for the price and I love putting all kinds of old school c-mount lenses on it.
