[FS: RED Cameras] Is this an Ebay SCAM?!?

[Warren Miles]

Ok, so hit the buy it now button on Ebay when I saw this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230972537212

Thought it looked like a good deal, almost too good! So within a few minutes I got an email requesting payment, not through eBay but to my email address, which I have been told is suspicious and also requesting that I pay into a bank account and not through Paypal, which is also a bit suspect!

Does anyone recognise the kit, as most often I am told they take images from the internet, and this forum, to put on eBay.

All help would be really good

A serious payer will allow pick up or at least send you the serial number of the camera, so you can check with RED on it

Red flags all over.

Don't fall for it.

Report it to ebay.

I thought so, I am glad I did not let my heart rule my head on this one, but it was close.

Thank you so much guys for that, it was very kind of you!

For buying any red camera, ask them to courier it to RED for checking and make payment only after certification from RED. You can then take the delivery from there. That way you can avoid all these ebay scams.
