Hi All,
Just looking to upgrade my external recorder and looking at either Atomos Samurai or AJA Ki Pro mini (any recommendations appreciated) but my main question is as follows:

I can't see any setting for delaying the audio recorded using the xlrs on the Ki Pro mini, considering the rather long processing delay in the HD-SDI out of the scarlet are people experiencing video/audio sync issues using this unit?

I couldn't find a single thread complaining of this issue so would love to get a yes or no from Scarlet/Ki Pro users on the internal XLRs

Cheers, Magnus

Magnus - considering the cost of the AJA unit, I can't imagine them NOT having a menu tweak to adjust delay!
Having said that I will right now give a h-u-g-e thumbs up for the Sound Devices PIX240 recorder system I have been using for almost a year now. (It _does_ have delay correction for audio)
HD imagery recorded is spectacular. Everything from 4-4-4-4 ProRes to Avid DNxHD files and more. Menu/user-interface is brilliantly thought out. Construction is top notch: alloy framed body; rugged broadcast-quality connections; heavy duty all-weather (live in Alaska so trust me on this) user-controls. Monitor image (now just updated to even better version in the new 240i) brilliant and totally useable in daylight.
Sound Devices has been regularly updating the Software (free updates) and this unit gets better and better (like our RED cameras) all the time. PIX wired and engineered to work with RED electronics and features RED SDI metadata for camera trigger/record-stop; matching time-code and RED-file naming if desired. Tech support, what little I have needed, has been near-instantaneous. I would urge you to get ahold of one to even just, well, HOLD. The quality will amaze....

I, too, have a PIX240 and it works brilliantly. IIRC, my audio delay setting is 125ms and yes the PIX goes into record automatically when the RED does. The only downside is that the PIX has so many protuberances on all sides, making it hard to mount as part of a run/gun rig. We solved that by custom-making a bracket. Oh, and its fan is whisper (and I do mean whisper) quiet.
