There isn't an official date for any info on Dragon that I'm aware of. They are still waiting for ASIC stuff with plenty to figure out, so perhaps "the near future"?

I hear that its only going to be available to EPIC owners first for around 6K and then a bit later for Scarlet owners, also for around 6K. I will try to find out when the Dragon release is coming.

Nope. only for Epic... all jarred said was (search his quotes)

"we will find a way for scarlet to have an upgrade path) read into that as you want... but nothing has been decided for scarlet and dragon

I really have no say in this topic since I'm a new owner but what I have now with my BT Scarlet will last me a lifetime and feel the frames I am receiving are priceless.

I still have a long way to go before I would ever need anything higher than 4K.

I am still in awe with the cheap glass Im using, Tokina 11-16mm and the filmic Rokinon Cine 35mm.

My upgrade will be PL lenses and thats fine by me

Thanks Tim. I actually don't think RED can realistically predict how much it can cost to upgrade Scarlet to Dragon until they can actually perform it. At the rate at which technology is changing it's way to dangerous to speculate. Who knows... by the time Epic users have upgraded... 6K for scarlet may be unrealistic??? But time will tell.
