  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

is there a way to view RAW in REDCINE-X?

Somebody from RED should take sides on this, but in the mean time; If you set gamma to Linear (and color space to CameraRGB) that's pretty much the same as the idea of behind RAW. That is, excluding the color issue, raw is about not applying a gamma curve but instead storing data according to the linear response of the sensor.

if you mean "view RAW" like the setting in camera, the answer is:
nope

And that wouldn't really be very usefull for post either.
What would look pretty similar to the camera "view RAW" is redgamma @ 320 iso /5600 kelvin and matrix set to CameraRGB, (and possibly the saturation a bit down.)

But if you want to "view RAW" more like the camera sees the light, Lauri's advice sounds about right, at 320 iso/5000 kelvin
