  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is the ready rig Vega upgrade worth it?

I purchased the Ready Rig with ProArms and quick releases. I then purchased the Vega upgrade. I did not find any real benefit to the Vega in terms of motion isolation or range of motion. It is not well conceived in my opinion. I worked a full career as a Mechanical Engineer so I know such systems. I returned the Vega and received refund. That's the bottom line in my case.

I disagree. I upgraded my Readyrig to Vega and feel it can now handle much more of the gimbal weight and still be smooth. That was a problem with the Proarms- once you start putting too much weight on the ready rig pro arms (to save your own arms) it gets supppperrr shaky and you can see every step the operator takes.

What are your thoughts on something lighter like The DJI RS2 to with either the side handles or a ring and maybe a few fxlion vmount batteries?
Would the vega upgrade be overkill sonce i tend to swap cameras between a blackmagic 6K or a komodo depending. Also considering the Tilta Float...

Would you guys think of the Vega upgrade on the ready rig? Would it be worth it in general? I also use the ready rig for handheld and curious if it would help with that.

Thanks
I have been looking for the VEGA upgrade for months. SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!! You know someone selling one?
