I'm an aspiring filmmaker and I'm looking for the best possible movie editor. From what I've seen, the Final Cut Pro X looks great! Is it, though? Also, does it provide me with the ability to create menu screens as seen in your standard DVD or Blu Ray purchases

?

Thanks!

I transcode my .r3d files with RedCineX to ProRes422 and love using FCPX as the editor.

If you're already in the Adobe ecosystem, stay with Adobe. If you're not, FCPX is a very capable tool that'll help every "one man band" type of video producer create great results, quickly. My day job has both, the Creative Cloud, as well as FCPX. For our easy, routine work i'll use FCPX every single time. Anything that goes to broadcast, or, anything that needs extremely intricate editing flexibility gets cut with Premiere. I find myself using FCPX more than Premiere though. To each their own.

I work with my red raw files directly in fcpx....it's almost silly how great it is....
