  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Depends a lot on your definition of "affordable", but there are many C-mount lenses available. Both cheap ones and high quality ones. There is a set of Fujinon f:1.4 primes for little more than 300 USD each if you do not want to go for Zeiss or Cooke, and I think Tamron makes zooms.
 
Great summary Chris! BTW - I think is worth mentioning that majority B4 lenses are designed for 3xCCD cameras and will not work on CMOS sensors - well, they will, but You don't want to see the recorded image...
Many people seams to be still thinking that this is great solution for interchangeable lenses as B4 was designed for 2/3" sensors. Scarlet is 2/3", but CMOS, not a CCD and certainly not 3xCCD. Apples and Oranges...
 
Thanks Peter. Do you know what the difference is with B4 lenses? Are the prisms for splitting to the 3 CCDs built into the lens?
