Hi,
Does Red has any plans to release a DCP maker software and DCP player for preview in the near future?

There are enough DCP solutions out there, some of them very affordable, even practically free. And yeah, with .RED and REDRAY, why would they want to go the DCP route?

It would be an interesting approach to use .red versus .j2k as the codec, since the spec is really about security, wrapper metadata, and codec. No reason a codec can be switched out. This would allows for single codec encode for theatrical, to home, to mobile. But if your strategy is to also be a distribution platform (ala iTunes), then that requires a different approach.
