What does MC5 use to show R3D on the screen? I guess AMA then AMA takes all of the R3D metadata to correctly process the picture? So it won't need RED QT codec (which is not completely supporting R3D metadata).

No QT codec needed. There is a native R3D AMA plugin. AMA brings the file in. Any metadata you can think of (and more) is stored in the bins, including all correction data you apply to the clips in the bin (ISO, hue, exposure, etc).

Great, I'm switching to MC5 from FCP.
