  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is it possible to horizontally flip the image on RED Touch LCD?

Is it possible to horizontally flip the image on RED Touch LCD? We may need it when LCD is attached on a rig upside down. Any ideas?
 
Pleasssseeee RED, make a vertical or horizontal image flip for the touch lcd, so i can mount it upside down... makes stuff so much easier if that would be possible and wouldn't be too hard to make i would think....;)
 
i would love the ability to flip. Low mode Steadicam is absolutely way beyond necessary, we need this so much.
 
Yes Please! +1 for upside down mounted evf capability - would be vey useful when mounting LCD to side of camera for quick change to handheld configuration. This has been floating around for a while. Any comments from Red please as to when this might become an available feature, if at all...
 
This is such a key feature with an overwhelming demand that it surprises me it has not been implemented yet. I understand the re-mapping of the pixels is difficult, but 2 years of constant requests is a bit inexcusable to me. It is fun explaining to a producer that we need to rent a separate monitor with extra rigging in order to perform such a "basic task" because our $40k camera package doesn't have the proper monitoring function for these common setups.

So Red: What have we got to do to get this feature out into the wild? Must we bake you a delicious cake? Perhaps send a large teddy bear to the main offices of Red Studios? We can tie many colorful balloons to it's foot to keep it suspended upside down if it helps get the point across. Or maybe we can go head-to-head in a super intense paper-rock-scissors competition and pray that we can beat your most skilled champion?

Please understand our (my) frustration. or perhaps give us a detailed explanation of why you can't do it. This way I could at least rattle of some fancy tech talk to those asking why, and I don't have to feel inadequate in those moments. It would be greatly appreciated.
