  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is EPIC-S now the Scarlet-X?

Maybe this was already brought up somewhere, but do the changes in Scarlet's sensor and specs change RED's plan for the EPIC-S? I can't imagine someone who has been waiting to buy an EPIC-S continue to wait and not just get a Scarlet-X -- or am I missing something? Are there enough differences in specs/price points for demand for EPIC-S and Scarlet-X?
 
Yes. I think Red didn't want to announce scrapping/failing to deliver the 2/3"..... i guess it would make for bad PR? So, rather than admitting, they rename the Epic-S to Scarlet to make it look like they're 'upgrading' the Scarlet.
The only major news announced yesterday is that they are shipping Epic-S on December 1st.
