Is anyone doing repairs on DSMC2 Monitors?

Was stuck filming in the rain for an extended period. My 4.7" RED Monitor did not survive. I can still change settings on the monitor but no picture comes up.
I sent it back to RED and paid the non-refundable evaluation fee. RED came back with a $1200 quote price for the fix. I couldn't justify it. I bought a new 7" monitor.
Sad to see this 4.7" as a paperweight. Is there anyone out there doing repairs or knows how to fix this? Would be awesome to have a backup for the inevitable wet days.

YEa I did. They wanted 1200 to fix it for a product that costs 1400 new and that you can buy used for 500-700$. Not worth it! Does anyone know of any third-party repair gurus?
