Hey guys! What are your thoughts on using IRND's with the Helium sensor? I know with Dragon it was recommended to use standard ND filters to avoid cast. Is Helium the same?

I have a full set of Tiffen IRND's. Would be a shame to have to get a new set (especially eyeing those Firecrests at $3K), but I want to know people's thoughts.

Thanks!

I have the Firecrest and have been doing some test with my Helium and don't really see any issues as of yet. And due to the fact the the Helium is a higher ISO base rating I find that Im using 1.8 and 2.1's a lot more than ever.

Would like to hear a definitive though.

Use regular NDs with Helium, or any IRND that cuts beyond 720nm, and you'll be absolutely fine.

IRNDs aren't necessary, and could add complications, but if you have them and they're good quality there's unlikely to be an issue unless they cut the IR earlier than the OLPF does.
