Hi, everybody.
There is an issue appeared with our Scarlet after upgading to the latest firmware.
When we power up the camera it automatically closes iris of any lense connected to it.
And it shows on monitor "Key Action: Iris Close". I don't know what to do to change it, went through all menu and found those key actions, but it doesn't help when you change it.
It still says "Key Action: Iris Close" and automatically closes iris of a lense? even when you try to open it it immideately closes it.
Lenses are: Karl Zeiss 50mm, Canon 70-200mm.
The camera worked well on old firmware, I don't remember the number, but very old... something like v2.....
But I tried to upgrade it to v3.2.21 and later the result is still the same. So I refused to upgrade it, but leter on I decided to try again and the result is the same.
So I decided to ask for your help, because I didn't find any solution in internet.
Any thoughts how to solve the problem?
Thank you.

It's possibly a button on either the Redmote or the DSMC Side Handle that's damaged or stuck down.

Depower the Redmote and camera. Detach Redmote and Side Handle. Repower and see if the issue has gone away. If so, DEPOWER (as all DSMC modules should not be detached/attached with power on), reattach Side Handle only, repower and see if the issue reoccurs. If it does, it points to a stuck/damaged button. If not, reattach the Redmote and see what the result is.

Wow, that really helped that was the issue! Thank you very much.
But why this doesn't happen on very old firmwares? If this was the mechanical damaged it would appear always, but here it appears only on new firmwares.

Any firmware and hardware can have bugs or unusual interactions.

Please file a report with Red Support so they are aware of this happening.

There is also the possibility that the firmware you upgraded to was corrupted while downloading, or during the upgrade. It's worth doing a fresh download and upgrade if the issue recurs.

Ok, I understand.
Thank you very much, you helped me so much and so fast!

Very old firmware didn't have an auto repeat feature on the rocker switches. It's possible this explains the difference in behavior.
