Will there be a built-in IR reduction filter (Hot-Mirror)? That would be swell I must say, saves money and preserves image quality.

Well according to infos from some professional sites many digital cameras do have this Hot-Mirror filter built-in. Ask them or the manufacturers how the hell they can expect this to work :coolgleamA:IR mirror reflects IR back. How on earth do you expect to improve quality by placing it anywhere except in front of the lens?
... Infrared (IR) cut-off filters are used with color CCD or CMOS imagers to produce color images. An IR cut-off filter blocks the transmission of the infrared while passing the visible. This can be done with two optical techniques: absorption or reflection.
My point is that a reflection remains a reflection no matter if the filter is inside or outside - obvious no?
But okay it doesn't matter so much anyways, if there is a filter inside I'm happy.
Ideas can travel everywhere and even be contradictory... light cannot! :chillpill:not really .... I woudn't like the idea of having reflected IR waves going in and out my lens .... :mad5:
