Hey, everyone.
Question that has been a LONG time coming - because I keep thinking it's something I must be doing wrong.
I have a Macbook Pro that I use for on set DIT -- and a Dual D700 Mac Pro I use at work.
I'm a Red Epic W owner - and lots of times on location - I'll run a shot through resolve or Red Cine X Pro (I'm on IPP2) via the laptop. I get a gorgeous image from both Resolve and Red cine X...
But when I go to bounce the EXACT same settings on my studio's Mac Pro (my laptop just crashes in Red Cine - and Resolve is painfully slow) - I get less Dynamic Range - brighter images - and greener skin.
Monitors Settings are the same through my system preferences -- the only SRGB options I have on each (which is SRGB IEC61966-2.1)
I hate to sound so green - but WHAT have I been doing wrong?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Below are TIFF screen captures run through Red Cine X Pro - at 800 ISO - Medium Contrast and Medium Highlight Rolloff.
On the laptop - it looks so much better to my eyes. Dynamic range is also clearly more evident.
Thanks for your help. Sorry to sound like such a novice - but I've triple checked -- and I can't figure out what has been going on!
