During the last weeks i tried different applications on my MAC for videostreaming. Problem is, that all applications need the video in H264, mpg4 or 3gp format, and this needs a convertion beforehand.

What I´m looking for is a solution, where i can capture the HD-SDI from the Camera into the mac via an MXO2 for example and directly stream it so that everyone with an iphone can see the live picture with a little delay.

Anyone with a solution for that ?

thanks
Manuel

I was thinking about the same thing. Would be great for on the set! The only thing I found so far is this:

http://www.senstic.com/iphone/aircam/aircam.aspx

I tried it with a build-in webcam of a MacBook and it has a 4-5 second delay but otherwise it works okay. I think it will work with another video source but I haven't tried that because I still have to order a AJA card.

There are other applications as well that can convert a file on the fly to iphone video but I haven't found anything else that does that with live video. I will keep looking though.

I started a thread on this here

I saw a guy on this board named alex carr. he seems to know how to do this and much much more with his iphone. Waiting to here back from him.

he talks about it in this thread but there are no specific details on how...maybe vnc?

this Jaedu app might be the one to try or what he's using. Hope he gets back to me as I know everyone and there mother want's to be able to do this!

You can totally do this and I know how...check out my latest video on Digitalcinemalessons.com that should post next week, it's a tut on how to do this with premiere but no reason on earth you can't do it with a RED camera as the source.. :) you will love it!

thanks for all the good hints so far, will give them a try in the next couple days.
I just love this community :)
