  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

it looks like I just got my new iPhone 4!!

Charging..

can't wait to have some fun with new little toy, and start making some video calls, he he.

It sure is thinner but it sure also is much Heavier, this thing fills really SOLID!! Love it!!


EDIT: Just realized that I was charged 20% Taxes, is this right?? 20% Taxes on the iPhone in California?? S#@$!!!

Actually what it really is (just found out) is that I have been charged regular State taxes on the full retail value of the iPhone 4, and not my discounted price of $299 with the AT&T plan.

I just tracked mine and it's still showing on time and in transit from Anchorage, AK. I should have it in hand by 10:30am tomorrow. I can't wait!

its the same weight as 3GS, but thinner.
The screen looks great, a vast improvement and overall performance is good bit more responsive than my 3GS was.
 
I pre-ordered an iPhone 4 when it became available. I havent had an iPhone before - in fact never owned anything by Apple before. Now I just had an email reminding me that the reservation will be available for pick up from 8am tomorrow. Now I have stuff to do till maybe 2pm but it only just hit me...

...there is likely to be thousands of people in the queue? Or is there. Its in Cardiff so that probably means nothing to anyone outside the UK, but its not Regent St basically which is the big daddy.

What do people reckon will there be masses of people there?

I can't be bothered to queue for hours but I need a new phone and my contract is up in three days. I want to buy an unlocked one as its easier for international travel.

I waited in line for 8 hours for the 3G iPhone and that was stupid. Met some cool people there but still the way they had it setup was really dumb. Glad I don't have to do that again.
 
Got mine today. Beautiful device...great improvements with the camera system and flash. Did my first "FaceTime" call with a friend and it way cool switching between them seeing you or your POV. Great stuff, BUT...

I'm having a HORRIBLE time getting a signal. I hope I don't have a lemon, but my signal is MUCH weaker than the 3GS and that wasn't great to begin with. I hope it's just AT&T network problems (surprise? hardly) and not a bad phone.

How are others' signals?
 
UPS dropped off the iPhone 4 for my wife this morning. I'm finally activating it now. Looks good so far, really like the new screen. Reports of it having poor reception are not good.

...And it just came up and I have full bars. I guess I'll try it out and see how it goes.

Really like the new design. My 3GS is only about 10 months old. I'll hold out for the next revision. I would wait even longer, but the screen alone will be worth the upgrade.
