iPad Production Apps - What do you guys use?

[Kegan Sant]

Hey everyone,

Jumping into my first iPad (just pre-ordered it) after being an iPhone user for a little under a year - wondering what my fellow film professionals are using on their iPads? I produce mainly, so I'm more looking for productivity/project management type apps but open to all of it! Google searches yield results from 2 years ago...surely we've had a breakthrough in that time frame for film production?

Thanks!

Kegan

I don't have an iPad yet but I've been preparing and keeping an eye out for good apps that would be great to use. Here's a couple:

Ikan makes Cinema Forms, an interactive app that provides basic production paperwork for any shoot including release forms, call sheets, wrap reports, and more.

Final Draft Reader and Writer, both are for scripts, one for reading one for writing, completely necessary in any case.

Here's what I use....

I really hope Red consider releasing their Cinephotograph Tools as a standalone iOS / Android app - I'd love to have that to hand when I don't have access to the internet on set!

Hi Kegan,

Email me and I'll get you an early beta preview of Video Camera 3.0 which adds native iPad support and remote mic. It's great for location scouting, visualization and experimentation.
