Now that people have had a few days to settle in with the new toy.

Who has gone to use there lap-top and tried scrolling the screen?

And how has it ruined your computing experience so far, in a good way..or bad?

Zach.

All I can say is the iPad exceeds my expectations in every way. It truly is a game-changer and I say that as someone who has "early-owned" "every single" Apple product since the Mac II.

It's basically the in-between device you didn't know you needed when kicking back on the couch or in bed, riding shotgun in a car, hanging out by the pool and etc. It sucks for typing though because you can't let your fingers rest on the screen like on a keyboard. I just turn it portrait and type with thumbs like an iPhone which works fine.

I bought a new TV that has a fancy settings menu but I couldn't figure out why the menu button wasn't registering! oh yeah... not an iPad...

Great for travel- not positive if it will totally replace the laptop. However I've already taken a bunch of trips with iPhone as my only device and that worked out great so I don't see why not. It's really like being in a scifi movie though.

Netflix for the iPad at $8.99 a month is the coolest thing I've ever seen in the realm of portable entertainment.

Unless you are outside the U.S. on a semi regular basis- that part sux.

I disagree. I think we will see short term 3G support pop up around the world in no time. Would be great to sign up for 30 days in another country while traveling instead of relying on hotels, internet cafes and the like.

the iPad is just too wicked, shame though I can't use netflix since I aint from the US...but it does look very cool...as does the ABC app!
