For Many years I have used the PAID application on my Mac to generate Invoices. PAID was designed for crew members and it also allowed me to make summaries and reports to give to my accountant but the software has not been supported for years and 10.13.3 has finally broken it. There is a plethora of online invoice packages many of them expensive as they use subscription but I really do not need most of the offered features. Is there anything out there that people can recommend that is designed for somebody with NO accounting skills?

waveapps.com.

As long as you don't use payrol. its free. works great.

I use Freshbooks. It's like Quickbooks but for idiots like myself. My accountant scoffs at me for using it- she thinks I should use QB but it's a little too
confusing for me. I use it to generate invoices but it's also tied into my business account so at the end of the year, I can do year end summaries of
expenses, invoices, etc. Probably not great for everyone but I'm happy with it. I pay about $200/year for it.

David,

If you use Word can you summarize and collate the invoices together?

Not automatically. I do everything manual, but my books are super small. As I grow I'm looking for something else. Looks like Freshbooks is looking good, but still checking around.

I use Quickbooks. Just get your accountant to show you how to use it for like an hour and you're off and running. It's a little overwhelming at first but once you have your workflow down it great.
