"Ruby" 14mm-24mm T 2.8

Please, come see us at the NAB, to experience this great lens. Our Booth number: C8831

We will be posting new pictures next week, when the engraving and anodizing is complete.

Thank you all for stopping by.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the NAB!
Stuart

That's very clever marketing, fitting in the gap left by red not doing an 18mm or wider.

question of the moment, will it do 5k?

The 14-24 f2.8 looks great on the D3, corner to corner. It would be interesting to try it on the D3x, which has about the same pixel count, pitch, and frame size as the 6k epic.

Even, have you tried that combination yet?

Impressive !

What about servicing ? Will our rental company be able
to service them easily or do we have to send it back you ?

About scale and the 24-70mm you mentionned on the other thread.
Does it have a wider scale, I mean more marks on the barrel or is
it the same size as the still lens ? On a wide lens like the 14-24, it
doesn't really bother me, but the 24-70 should be more tricky...

It should do 6K full frame (Still) 35mm, that's what the Nikon optics cover.

It'll be wider lenses that make the FF35 worthwhile - to get that shallow DOF at a wide angle - focus pullers don't need extra trouble on longer lenses.

It'll really look amazing with, say, a 24mm T2.

You have that with a SuperSpeeds S35 18mm at T1.3. Or even more radical with a Master Prime 14mm at T1.3.

Wideangle FF35 lenses hardly reach T2 and never T1.3.

I checked out the Ruby at NAB. The lens is really really nice. Super sharp and distortion free through the whole zoom range. With it's weight and focal length it is going to be perfect for lots of stuff like steadicam, handheld, sports, architecture, tight interiors etc...
Stuart you are the man.
