I really find the reference to the zone system very useful and just trusting in post process for the color science. I use the gio system and make sure I light things correctly, just checking the color with my eye but not worrying about the camera color when I shoot.

The dance sequence with groot was my favorite in the film, that creative use of red camera systems integrated with motion capture ... just awesome and pure fun.

Yes I was very happy to see him teaching the zone system in the seminar at Red Studios!!
For me with my stills background it was total validation!

I found it very interesting what he had to say about camera movement and the use of all of these huge rigs and cranes etc.
He finds smaller rigs and hand held more appealing.
