hey im an ac and i've recently finished a project on red epic. when i set the camera to high frame rates such as 50fps nothing is wrong . But when i shut down the camera for battery change of any other reasons, after rebooting, the camera sets the shutter angle according to the frame rate such as 90degrees for 50fps. So i had to check and make sure that after every reboot the shutter angle stayed at 180 degrees. Also I checked in the modes menu that the shutter was set to relative. What am i doing wrong? any ideas?

I think I've recently had a similar experience where the shutter angle apparently changed by itself. It's a real change, not just an incorrect display. We were changing framerates on the run a lot, and would occasionally see the relative shutter angle (in yellow) displayed as 360degrees. We didn't notice if it occurred after a battery change/reboot.

Guys, make sure to report the issue to RED and submit a log. It's the only way they can fix a bug with the next firmware update. Any issue you have should be reported so the system becomes rock solid.

We had a similar problem on both shoots this week, Saturday and Tuesday. The shutter angle kept changing, wouldn't stick to 180.

I'll have my guys submit a report.

Yeah, was going to when I get a day off!

Yes, same here.

I haven't noticed the above but will check soon. But why don't you guys assign the soft keys (for example) to various frame rates with a shutter angle fo 180. I'm in production at the moment and need to change frame rates often without the time to check all the other parameters.

So far the soft keys have been a godsend..
