Hey friends,

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to identify if my camera has the interchageable OLPF upgrade?

I sent my cam to RED in 2015 for upgrade to Dragon and I selected LLO upon upgrade. Just not sure if at the time they updated it to the interchageable OLPF front that allows me to swap out the OLPF myself. Any ideas on how to work it out?

Thanks

If it wasn’t upgraded to interchangeable, the in-camera OLPF menu is greyed out/has no other OLPF options in the drop-down menu.

If it was upgraded, it will have STND, LLO, STH, IR and H20, and you can change between them regardless of what physical OLPF is installed (as switching has to be done manually on DSMC1).

Interchangeable OLPF was introduced Fall 2014, so if you sent it in 2015 I’m pretty sure it would’ve been upgraded, unless you specifically requested not to/specifically requested a fixed LLO.

If there's anyone else out there - I'm wondering if these cameras work without an OLPF installed?
Is it safe? Would this essentially be a full spectrum camera in this instance?
