Hey guys! Recently got my first RED cam but not sure which company to pick to insure my gear... A lot of them seem to be online-ish and I am trying to figure out if there are legit operators out there and if any experienced users can recommend them.

I came across Athos Insurance and I am currently wondering if they are the guys to go with. So far the experience was great and I just wanted to hear other cases, if there's any.

Thanks!! :violin:

I went with Athos earlier this year. Great experience and speedy responses! I think a lot of people here use them.

Athos is great but expensive and they will drop you after a big claim. Insuremyequipment.com has been solid for me. Cheaper and just as good if not better. The only downside is everything is discussed via email. Which in all honesty is no big deal. And they have a sweet online portal for issuing insurance certs and managing everything yourself. In the end, have confidence in knowing eiither service is a good choice :)

Drop me? Like... Decline the claim and make me pay from pocket? That's sketchy lol

No, they would cover your claim most likely. But then they can decide to drop you after your insurance period is over. It is pretty typical apparently. But like I said I had a claim with Insuremyequipment and never dropped me. They are solid!
