Initial SSD formatting time

How long are you guys finding that it takes to format a 256GB 1.8" SSD the first time around?

Had I known it would take this long, I could have gone out for a bite. :001_smile:

Yep, you have a problem if it's taking any amount of time. Should only take several seconds...

Just got my 64's and the R1 module. Formatted about as fast as a CF card.

my 128's were a little longer than expected but I was expecting 30 seconds and they were just a tad longer

I had an issue with a single 128 the other day - the other 5 were fine (upgraded red one)

Seemed to be taking forever. After 5 minutes, I went for the old power cycle on the camera. Tried again and all was fine, and has been fine since.
