hi guys, i come from Super 16 mm experiance where we have shoots many times at 12/15 fps for giving more dynamism to the action, but wihtout making the actual footage faster,
if you dont know what i mean you can check "save private ryan" or many other movies with same effects.
Now we've shoot on red some scenes at that frame rate, what is suppose to be the best workflow to have them running normally (so not spead up) giving the same effect?
thanks for any help

25, but ive shoot already at 12/5 fps and was really cool, but this was with a super 16mm

I'm pretty sure he's talking about step printing as well. To be honest, I'm not sure what the best practice would be to get a similar effect out of RED.

As an FYI (Though I believe it was already mentioned briefly), Saving Private Ryan (At least the battle seqeunces) was shot at 24FPS, with a riduculously small shutter angle (Less than 45 degrees, some shots went down into the 12-degree range)

ahh... step printing thats already a start, but its not skip printing? and someone of you know how to reach that "effects" with red one shooting? couse i can do that with optical printer but i would like to do it lets say in fcp..

shoot real small shutter angle and replace each second frame with the one before perhaps or each second frame with a black frame. hmm I'd like to see both options.

you mean manually replace every second frame with a black frame? :)
