I have 9 of these lights in stock in the US. $1400 each. They are pretty fantastic. Close to the output of the S60. Lighter in weight and the balast is all built in. These are new and come with a zippered case. Over 95 CRI. It has features you would find on the Skypanel... Effects and the ability to shift green or magenta if you're trying to do something like match fluorescent lighting in an office. I even can get a softbox attachment for another $100 per light which makes these even more versatile as a quick soft key without needing a bunch of other modifiers. I'll post some pictures and you can see more on my shopify store. https://brightcine.com/products/yidoblo-a-3000 . Feel free to ask any questions. I've been using one on commercial and narrative work over the last month and it has been my favorite light I've ever used.

This seems too good to be true. Anyone have any real reviews on these? I've looked but can't seem to find any. If they are 70% as effective as an S60 they seem like they would be worth it...

Hey Shaun, I'm biased because I sell them, but they're a solid alternative. They're fairly new and I'm the only person I know in the US that sells them. I use it with a softbox attachment that I sell as an accessory and it makes it work as a really soft key light for interviews. They're bright enough for bigger tasks. I've used one on two occasions to pump through windows to simulate sun coming in. I prefer it over the s60 because it's lighter and has a built in ballast. I know people are skeptical but LED lighting is just going to get brighter and cheaper and the quality keeps improving as well. It used to be LED panels from China would have a color shift of green or magenta and would need color correcting but if you purchase any LED panel made in the last 3 years you'll find that pretty much all of them have a CRI over 92. This one is no exception with a CRI of 95 which is the same as the Skypanel S60. I've put them side by side and the light quality is equivalent.

How's the build quality on these units? Any parts of it that I should be weary about? I don't expect it to be s60 standard, but it'd be amazing if it lasts a few years.

Do you know if there are any rental houses in LA with this light?

Hey Toby. I'm really impressed with the build quality. They are solid. I've used it on 8 different shoots now so hard to talk about how long they last but the things that I would typically worry about would be the hinges that tighten the tilt of the light and the construction of the mount for the light and both are really well made and durable. If I'm being honest the part that doesn't feel as high of a build quality is the bag/case that the light comes with. That item is more of a bonus and nice to have but it doesn't have a lot of internal padding and on one of my units the zipper tab broke off. It was easy to replace but including a case felt like more of an extra thing that they wanted to do, but also wanted something that would be cost effective on the manufacturing end. I don't think the Skypanel comes with any kind of included case so that's one more thing that makes this light better in my opinion.

Do you have any pictures or examples of the softbox? I dont see it on your site.

+1, also looking for the soft box. I’m assuming I’d just order through the site rather than separately here?

I don't have them listed on the site yet, but I sell them for $100 and offer to add them to an order after it's been placed. The softbox is very new, but really adds a lot of value to making this a quick key light. A lot of people have been interested if the softbox would fit on the Skypanel S60 since the cheapest softbox for that is around $600. Because of the slight differences in shape the softbox doesn't fit the Skypanel. It was designed specifically for this light.

I don't think so. These lights are very new and I'm the only one I know of who carries them in stock in the USA. When I include these in a lighting/grip package I add $80-$100 as a rental rate. Should totally pay for itself before the end of the year.

Someone who purchased one did a review of the light. I'll post a link here.

Jason, how does the AI-3000C compare to the A220-C?

Are there any differences in colour or build quality beyond the additional RGB features?

Toby. The 220-c is like the little brother to this light. Made by the same company. The ai-3000C is over two times the size and brightness and is much closer to the build and output of the Skypanel S60. As mentioned this light has effects while the 220-c does not. The part that connects to a light stand is much more robust with connectors that are metal. The other thing that the smaller a220-c can't do is shift magenta or green in 2200-9900k mode. Like if you are trying to match with fluorescent lights in a space, you can dial that in, just like with the Skypanel. So the 220-C is a good light, but is nowhere near a Skypanel and this light is much closer with a few features that make it better than an actual Skypanel.

Awesome thanks for that Jason! I think I'll definitely buy one next month once my finances are sorted :)

I see these are sold out on your site now. If someone here bought one, please post a review!

These are back in stock in the USA. I ship only to USA and CANADA since I only keep the US plugs in stock. $1399 per light and I also sell a softbox attachment for $100. At 1/4th the price of a Skypanel it's definitely a solid option. I've been using my almost 5 months now with no complaints. https://brightcine.com/products/yidoblo-a-3000
