Hi all,

Shot some slomo 240fps stuff last week using DC powered F&V ringlight LEDs and DC powered Icelight knockoffs. All looked great but I need a little bit more flicker free punch.

Was looking at this budget LED Fresnel

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221584644656

And wondered if anyone had any experience of it and whether they feel it could do a job. If not is there anything else out there in this sort of price range that you lovely people could recommend.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure I'd agree with that. For example The F&V RV300 ringlights are very inexpensive and have been a mainstay of a lot of smaller productions for a lot of people.
Yep, and they are a little on the green side, when compared to the newer, higher CRI Leds. Nothing that caused me any problems so far though.
Maybe write to the seller and ask for more info about the LED chip used in the fresnel?
Most likely it's an off the shelve chip and there might be more documentation about it online.
All and all considering the developments in the past 5 years, it's getting saver to buy "cheap" LED fixtures.
