It's beautiful, isn't it? Even the controller is nice to look at.
It's a shame that the bold geometric approach from the 1980s morphed into a same-same ultra-safe approach in the 1990s. We forget, I think, just how good design was back then.
Another example: think of the Nikon F4 which debuted in 1988. Compare that to the oversized blob that is the D6 today. Jesus wept.
