  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

In Depth HDRx test by Local Hero Post

Definitely will save run and gun shoots a lot of time filling and flagging in sunlight. Though I'm guessing purist DPs will poo poo this idea...

Sure, why bother with such boring and unimportant things, like good lighting. Those purist DPs just annoying. Fix it all in post:-)

Welcome to our "real world".

An average budget of an Israli feature film is 800000$ guess with what kind of material we have to deal in post. HDR x will be of great help even Magic HDR will do ( to save budget on the post side ).

+1

You'd be an idiot to assume HDRx eliminates the need to carefully consider every lighting setup, but knowing how far you can pull an image with this feature can cut out lights and crew on jobs where every dime counts.

Great test. I have a feeling we're going to be watching/reading a lot of these in the coming months.

I wasn't aware Run and Gun shoots used flags for anything...

Thanks for the tests and for showing a little of the software process too. Best test yet.

Thanks, HDRx +3 is turning out to be a really killer feature on the Epic-X – and none of us even knew it was coming when we got all excited about Epic the first time!
