[SOLD] IMPOSTER Tony Capil screwed me out of $300

I purchased a Red Top Plate from Tony Capil and paid him $300 via PayPal. I messaged him after about a week or two, and asked if it was sent out & if he had tracking info. He said it was sent out, had tracking info but wasn't at his house so he couldn't give me the tracking info.

I contacted him multiple times since, but haven't gotten a response and it's been over a month since I have paid. I would suggest not ordering anything from him, or if anyone ever works with him on set, I would just keep an eye out on your gear.

Scammers are impersonating actual people, which leads to real people's names getting dragged in the mud. The real Tony seems like a cool dude, based on my convo w/ him, so let's be careful not to shit on his name.

I suggest trying to verify everybody before sending money, through their official websites and social media accounts (make sure the person has actual interaction w/ people on their social media accounts too).

I really wish I would have seen your post before all this, and didn't realize that it wasn't Tony until now.

I have contacted PayPal, but they say it may take up to 10 days to look into things.

That is good advice as far as verifying before purchasing, and I will definitely be doing this from now on.

Am I able to change the name of this thread, or does it need to be deleted, ect. in order to keep Tony's name in good standing?
