Imported video and audio are always in separate files, am I doing something wrong?

So I've noticed every time I import the audio will be a separate file from the video. Did I mess up something in the menu system, or is there a proper way to import the footage. Ive tried a few different ways and on resolve, final cut and premiere and every time its the same.

Is your project (in the camera) the same frame rate as the shooting rate? If not and audio is enabled it will split the audio from the clips.

Ah, that might be it. I’ll tested it out.
