  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IMPORTANT Spiderman update...

True clean digital 4K is so much more interesting to me than 3D...after seeing ridiculous amounts of detail in the images at the RED Studios first public event, it made me think that deep focus photography should be brought back into vogue...you could practically walk into the screen.

Congratulations, RED team, there are no words for what you have achieved.

The teaser trailer looks incredible. I knew the Epic looked great, but this is kind of shocking. Can't wait to see everything else that comes from this technical marvel.

ah that looked amazing, so excited!

Can't agree more.

4k>3D

Watching Tatoo and the Sizzle Reel in 4k at Red Studios was incredible. Some of that stuff looked more "3D" than any "actual 3D" I've ever seen.

I think the new Spider-Man looks, uh, AMAZING. I'm still not feeling that CG action sequence in the trailer though....

Congratulations Red Team !!!

Agreed, but we can only hope the final will look better than that. Possibly just something for the trailer.

I think I know the one thing wrong with the CG part, its all in focus. I think if they can render it out again with a parameter for a lens that is shallower, make a few choices of what is in focus at any given moment, it will feel 100% more cohesive with the rest. Its just seeing Spiderman's hands 1 foot away just as sharp as a Skyscraper 3 miles away makes it feel inconsistant.

BUT, i love the energy of that sequence and I haven't seen anything like that before for "here is what it feels like to BE Spiderman"!
