  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Impero sneak peak...

Curt, man this is looking great...coming along very well I see. Would you please remind me the situation on delivery, if I ordered an impero and inclino today I would receive them when? (roughly of course) best of luck!

Hurry up, and get that thing out the door ! Until i recieve it, I´ll blame every soft focus shot on you ;)

Looks sweet :)

Yes Curt, how many could you ship and how soon? Do those of us who have yet to order stand a chance of getting ours in 2 weeks? This is very important for us to know. I need a FF so badly. If I knew I could get it no later than in 2 weeks, I'd order right now.

Hi Curt, that black thing to the left with the usb-plugged - is that the receiver??? wow, what a difference in design to the genio/magfox/digifox/aladin etc. ones...

Its looking like July. We received first articles of the motors and they're not up to snuff. I just booked a ticket to visit our vendor and take care of the problems. Hopefully we will be back on track mid-next week.

We never thought we would have so much initial demand on these motors. The first 100 units got snatched up after the first few weeks so we started placing orders for another run.... those parts will arrive at the very end of the month then we can start the next batch. Assuming we get the tooling issue with the Inclino parts squared away soon then we will be able to start production on the first batch right away.

Yup, its the receiver unit. The actual PCBA is ony a third of the size of what you see, most of the bulk is due ti the connectors. The two big holes are spaced such that they can be directly mounted to the side handles on the red one with a couple 1/4-20 sccrews.

Hi Curt, how can I find out, where in the line I am with my order of the impero, did it some month ago?

Yes, I'd like to know aswell if i'm in the lucky 100s.

Looking forward.

Emmanuel

Fantastic! Both, controller and receiver made huge steps in terms of design and features.

Guys, there are a few issues that we are working on behind the scenes. Basically our web store sucks. We hired a guy to totally revamp the entire system (front and back end) to make it easier to keep track of things. Once the new system is up and running we will be able to give out serial numbers and status updates etc. Right now I am concentrating on getting a manufacturing issue squared away and as soon as I get back from Asia and kicking my manufacturers ass for being late and not up to spec on our parts I will be sure to get everyone a status email with expected shipping dates.

We just got the marking rings for Impero.... These things are as awesome as a marking ring could get I guess. The surface finish is very glossy so you can mark on them with pretty much anything. I've tried grease pencils, transparency markers, felt tip pens, and even permanent sharpies. All of them hold up very well on the surface and don't smudge but the cool part is that you can erase the marks with just a little water and a rag - no permanent marks left behind. This is probably a bad thing for us in terms of having a revenue stream from providing replacements but they sure are nice.

Don`t bother. There are numerous ways to ruin / break those marking rings. And btw, if they´re nicely priced you`ll sell loads of them anyways as spares or for individual lenses of a fix prime set.

you already have 2 additional rings sold here!!

Yeah, true. There are plenty of opportunities for them to get ran over, lost or stolen. The price should be less than $15 each.

Great stuff Kurt i will need another 25 rings, how do i add that to my order?

We'll have the option online soon. We need to ship out the first batch of imperos with their rings but there will be a way to buy them separately.
