Impero Controller wanted

If someone has an Birger IMPERO controller to spare I'm interested. :smash:

I recently required an ancient Birger EF mount for Canon lenses for my Red One. And I must say it has been a very uplifting experience. After reading a ton of old conversations on this forum I did succeed to master it. By combining the 3 control buttons on the side of it I can control it easily with the interface on the mount, the iris, IS and focus etc. It was also straight forward to hook up my MacBook’s Bluetooth connection to control everything from the Birger BEI Device Interface App. It even displays everything from the lens (S4/i) on the LCD screen perfect, Focus Distance, Aperture and ZOOM/Lens mm. Perfect!

To assemble the mount and attach it to the R1 was quite easy. To collimate the lenses was straight forward too. Now I can use all my Canon EF Lenses on my R1. Brilliant

Back in our RED One days, we loved the Birger/Impero combination. Unfortunately, it got a nasty reputation for blowing up One bodies due to a kink in the cables if set-up improperly, and never really got its due (that, plus the fact that the vast majority of folks used PL glass). Good luck in your quest.

I will say this: If you DO find an Impero, you'll need to be very careful about your batteries. It was poorly designed by ViewFactor (a company which turned out to be a bit of a disappointment on several levels), and was subject to frying batteries and then the Impero itself.
