EDIT: Update, I was contacted by the real Lonnie Peralta, someone purchased his expired domain and has been running scams, so be on the lookout for anyone with an fxfprodutions.com email address!
Original story below:
Hey guys, just so you know... I had a WTB ad up here for minimags, I got a message from Lonnie Peralta from FXFProductions with a good price, made a deal. I googled him extensively and seemed legit, lots of productions under his name. Email was via the website, IMDB credits, pretty straight forward.
I payed via Paypal Purchase Goods, in order to get Paypal protection. He refunded it (I lost $100 on exchange rate conversion again) as Paypal was holding the payment for 3-4 days and we agreed he'd ship the cards same day, so if I sent via send money to friends and family (which offers NO protection) hed have the money right away and could ship asap.
I agreed.
...but I'm not new to the internet! So instead of funding the payment through my bank account, I switched it to my Amex and swallowed the $115 paypal fee for using the card. Best decision ever, because I never heard from the guy after he said payment was received and promised to send a tracking number. I've since filed a chargeback through Amex and should be covered instead of taking a $3000usd loss, but came sooooo close to getting ripped off on this one.
So there you go... BIG WARNING.
NEVER SEND PAYPAL VIA FRIENDS AND FAMILY! This is the THIRD time in a year I've had to file chargebacks when buying off Reduser.
Watch out for this paypal address:
jordansimsasc@gmail.com
That's the one they were using.
