There is definitely no lack of imbeciles, idiots, and morons, all around us.

Maybe I should start my first documentary on the stress levels caused by these people.

Just needed to vent. I'm sure there are other who feel the same.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Absolutely no doubt there are others that feel like you (and me, too!)

I ran across one the other day. I thought to myself "What an idiot, moron, Imbecile!, and later found out he was thinking the same way about me.

He he, yes the world is full of it... LIKE IT OR NOT!!

Must say and admit as well that while I never called myself nor EVER allowed any one to call me a "MORON" nor an "IMBECILES" as they are a bit more degrading terms and to close to "STUPID" but I did in fact called my self an IDIOT in more then one occasion, especially recently, but then again, I don't think in my case I offended myself, as I do since recent Hospitalization and near Death experience suffered Defilibration, and there for is excusable in my position to fill a little Retarded in my Mental state of Mind.... ;)

I used to feel that way until the day I earned my stripes as an assclown. Problem solved.

Damn. I was hoping you were casting a Reality TV show. I'm overqualified.

Turns out, it is better to be a Moron than an Idiot:

Mental deficiency used to be more finely classified using the following technical terms that later began to be abused by the rest of society (5):

It strikes me that most of the damage is not caused by those of our fellows who meet the original technical definitions -- but by imbeciles morons and idiots who have sufficient but perverse brainpower that overindulges an ego that seems to find a combo of stupidity and arrogance enticing.

Very nicely put.

Way too funny.

I've known a few eloquant self-proclaimed intellectuals that could break the holes off a bowling ball.

Look on the bright side, every idiot is one less person you have to beat to get to the top.

Sad thing is, sometimes the idiots who don't think long and hard about anything, who don't sit there calculating all the possible risks, gain or loss, are the people who get to the top. They just take a shot in the dark without thinking of outcome and actually make it. You know what I mean?

Oh, we never deal with people like that who are determining sound budgets. Or a post workflow.

It's very sad to me when I have to deal with somebody who's in the final stages of finishing their film, and we start working on the conform, and then it goes horribly wrong. We ask them, "why didn't you ask us for help before you started this?" and the answer is usually along the lines of, "we didn't know."

Sometimes, the biggest problem with dealing with inexperienced people -- I'm hesitant to call them imbeciles, idiots, or morons, because some of them mean well -- is that they don't know what they don't know. In other words, they not only don't know the answers, they don't know the questions!

Everybody did mistakes. Everyone in the world ! Everyone starts from nothing and climb up. those who dont know, make mistakes and learn from it. They are getting better.

The true morons and idiots are those who pretend they know and act like an ass (arrogancy, foolish pride, sense of superiority) and worse they are the chaos players in the industry !

Those are the true morons and idiot

same thought.

Difficult to manage these people ... I always expect their mistake without saying anything and then speak with the solution.
Unfortunately there are people who can not or do not want to upgrade, so there are still means working "old".
Every day I struggle with these ideas, work at a television screen with about 300 technicians, when I entered the first time with my Red one 2years ago. I kept in view. Now we try again with the usual phrase: Alexa is better, the F3 is better, the Canon 5D costs less and get better results in your RED and blah blah blah ... Now I turn them off when I hear this, I carry them in my office and asked him: Ok let me see why it is better than RED.
Eventually, when I put my hands in front of their product with ease and great results, do not talk more, understand that they are a step backwards.
This is for you to realize that many many people. talk talk talk, but only by hearsay.
I always say, and I like to say that this forum REDUSER are the best people, here everyone helps everyone without arrogance, here it makes a difference and the desire to grow.
It 's the best forum that I attend.

sorry for my bad English.

I know, its just that Moron is more offensive then Idiot... ;)

In Italian works out that way, you can say "IDIOTA" to some one and it will get less offended then if you called him "STUPID" (which is what Moron translates to).
