Hardly time to breathe these days. Was recently in DC where I first started throwing weight behind this new MPE65mm and MT24EX Combo. With the right mount, Birger, this kind of magnification with be possible with RED. For underwater lighting will be a bitch due to the required distance to lens issues but nothing is impossible. Plans are afoot. Until then, enjoy.

Cheers,
Mark.
P.S Posting this from a crappy computer in a Balinese internet cafe, yeah Bali......that place in Indonesia with swaying palms, dusky maidens and, OUCH, an ever watchfull missus sat next to me....hehehe. On a stopover to Petropovlosk in N.E Russia to film Fur Seals, brrrrrrrr.

Mark, as usual that is unreal and beautiful.

Be safe in your travels and thank you for the great pics.

Again - beautiful stuff, Mark. Thank you for sharing.

Mark:

Can we get these kind of magnifications with the canon ef 180mm macro?

Awesome shots. Man, you are on the move !

jumping spider?

Cheers Peeps,
Mike, I haven't tried that lens so no ideas if it is possible. Would like to try though. I've seen some work from a Sigma 180mm with bellows and the results are pretty damned fine. No reason why that wouldn't work in the EF lens options also.

Hawaj. yep. Jumping spider. There are bucket loads of them over here and in some pretty amazing color variations too.

Tom, I sometimes wish these wheels would stop turning sometimes, just to be able to relax a while and take it all in.

Cheers,
Mark.

Great clarity on those images Mark, love the color saturation as well, but the sharpness is impressive, knowing the MPE-65 you are a patient Man, and a talented one for sure.

Just got around to finally understand mine, never shot Macrophotography before, and now switching back and fourth with the 180L and the MPE-65 till I get it right, but the MPE-65 at x5 takes tone of light to get an image out of it, and the DOF is extremely Shaloooow.

Ciao
