Hi all,

while my experiments with my new Scarlet here in Berlin, I find quite some disturbing noise increasing the image into 1:1 mode on the touchscreen.

I did calibrate the camera prior use, so that shall not be the issue. Now my question : is this normal ?

As you can see from the Histograms, there is hardly any too dark areas - the image is according to "user-guide" in the right ranges.

Would love to get your feedback.

Thanks

Steffen

there are two options for calibration. The default option and the one below that to calibrate at your current frame rate. The default option gave us a noisy image, but the "calibrate at current framerate" somehow gave us a much much less noisy image.

Pardon me for being dense, but is that even the same shot? It doesn't look that way to me - the focal length changes, as does the frame...

everything I've been shooting has had a ton of noise for some reason as well. It used to be fine before the new firmware upgrade. Not sure what happened but it really brought alot of noise and grain to any image I shoot even in daylight.

have you reset everything to factory default?

Also, do you guys have any focus assist modes on?

I will check an let you guys now. There are 2 different shots, I originally shot. It is the latest firmware - and the noise is in postproduction too. I will recalibrate at current framerate. Will check if that helps

Did the R3Ds get more noisy as well? I`ve been reading about this problem and I couldn`t find a satisfatory answer.
