image flip needed for touch screen LCD...

I just spent a few minutes going through some posts and couldn't find anything specific about if and/or when it might be possible.
It would be an enormous help if I could just under sling the touch screen lcd when operating hand held. I prefer to use the lcd during evening or dusk shots when I go hand held and only use my bomb evf in broad sun light.
Flipping the image would make the transition from tripod mount to hand held much faster...

Anyone out there here if this is in the works or not?

Seems like almost every onboard monitor out there can flip the image...

In the mean time, I use a 5 inch aluminium plate to have another mounting point.

Apparently the next firmware release will have the flip feature. It was mentioned my Jim himself.

I've asked both Jarred and Jim directly, maybe a couple minutes after one of their posts. They most likely saw it, never responded. Today I was on a shoot, could have used the "FLIP" feature on the LCD. We need to get their attention. All it takes is to deliver the message. They listen.

I 100% agree. An image flip is sorely needed. I really hope it's included in the next firmware update. This small addition would greatly improve my handheld setup as well.

We are waiting for this for more than 1.5 years. i asked red in may 2011 for this a couple of times already, its really insane it's not there yet... I gave up it will come soon

In the works. Next major release has gotta be soon. Probably before the new year.

From our guys... "Vertical flip is possible and will be enabled in the next major release.
Horizontal mirror will require post to implement new de-mosaic routines allow for a different starting pixel." Working on it.
