  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I'm surprised that "Epic"...

For both Phantom HD & Phantom 65:
photosite size - 12.5 micron square
sensitivity - 550 ISO
dynamic range - 11 stops

The sensor technology is the same and the perform identically. Just one has more pixels than the other.

It is theoretically possible to make a T1.4 lens for a 65mm sized sensor. It may need to be the size of the Hubble.

Hi Mitch,

As far as I know no one has to date!

I am quite new to sensor technology, meaning that I refer to what many others say about the sensitivity of sensors: bigger pixels collect more light. Making the sensor twice as big with twice as many pixels should therefore not make it more sensitive.

Maybe that is happening in your example.

Making the sensor twice as big with the same number of pixels should make it more sensitive.
