I'm looking to get on set...

[lemon_ice_tea]

Hi all,

I wasn't sure where I should post this, so hopefully this will get some views...

I currently work in post and am looking to get more hands on experience with Red on the production side of things and was wondering if there were any shoots happening over the weekend that I may be able to help out on (currently work in a post house full time so can't really commit to week days).

If not, does anyone suggest any other AU forums?

cheers,

Justin

One way of getting on set is to start calling some local production companies and tell them you'd like to PA on set for their shoots. Offer to go out free of charge at first, when they see you're a hard worker... the money will come

BTW (and please realise I have a slight grin) it's probably worth clarifying you don't live in Antarctica, or Mars.

Best of luck

thanks bint2k & James. I think I might have over revised my original post, because I was sure I had mentioned that I was in Sydney.. thanks again

No worries Lemon. The Sydney RedUser nights are a great opportunity to network also (if you haven't been to one yet): http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=25342. Hopefully meet you at the next one in June/July.
