Hi folks,My wife of nearly 8 years and I have been talking about owning our own movie pub since our third date. In November, we are finally going to make that a reality! I'm really excited as it brings together our two great loves, cinema and food. But man is it ever expensive. We have been able to secure a pretty sizeable initial pot of money to do renovations on the space, but we can only initially convert two of our screens to include digital projection (we are actually keeping the 35mm projectors on our two larger auditoriums as you can get systems installed that slide the projectors back and forth!). With the digital cutoff looming, we are trying to raise some funds through an indiegogo campaign. I understand that most of you guys won't have any way of using the gift cards or movie party, but if you are interested in helping me out, the t-shirt option is a good one. We talked to a local t-shirt shop that is going to give us a really good deal. Here is a preview of some of the artwork that our artist, Brian, is working on.

So yeah, thanks for taking a look even if you decide not to contribute.

But thanks even more if you do :p

Fantastic, I guess since it's in close proximity, you must be taking inspiration from the Alamo Drafthouse? I'd never been there myself, but I do love the McMenamin's Pub/Theaters in Portland, OR.

yea , look to the mc menamins pubs, the gypsy in south east portland , is a great example . of that , done really well.
i have always wanted to build one , similar to that

The Drafthouse is definitely an inspiration for us. I really appreciate Tim League's commitment first and foremost to an excellent presentation of cinema. The Alamo Drafthouse is a prime example of what can happen when the operators of a cinema care most about the movies. We are doing a little different spin on what they have pretty much perfected, but it would be wholly disingenuous of me to deny their influence on us! Thanks for the kind words :)
