Hi - does anyone have any experience of working with these lenses? - made by lomo in Russia so pretty good pedigree - 32k(euros) for a set of 18,25,35,50,85 & 135 all t1.3 - am in the market for lenses and am bit baffled by the choice available - the Illuminas are at the top of my price range - am also looking at a set of refurbed Zeiss Superspeed Mk1 and dreaming of S4...

There's a good comparison write up here (http://www.ryanewalters.com/Blog/blog.php?id=7418575377215665840 - Ryan also posts here I think) although it doesn't cover Superspeeds. Having shot with both a fair bit now they're vaguely comparable, the Superspeeds are obviously lighter but I think softer wide open than the Illuminas. However with Superspeeds out of production now and PL glass in such high demand a set should hold value for a fairly long time, plus it's a known set that everyone knows. It's hard to get productions to take Illuminas here, although a couple of big TV shows have just done so.
