ifx products

[Baltazar Balta]

hi all,

Does ifx ant manage playback 4k realtime red footage? Also is there anyone who knows approximate prices of ifx products like ant, piranha cinema? I could'nt find any link on their website for asking price. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I don´t know Ant price, but must be a lot cheaper than a FCP + Redrocket System to be interesant.

I am sure the time it took to write here would have sported an email to IFX too and you'd probably have some info by now ;-)
They are actually nice guys. Had a Piranha demo years ago and they will answer you fast I guess.

But it is unlikely they do 4K realtime (full debayer) as everybody for the moment EXCEPT DVS and RED themselves is dependent on the SDK which is unable to deliver that performance through to a processing algorithm. Don't ask me why, but no SDK (software) based system can do that - at least for now. And while software is free, REDrocket makes business.
