  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IFC Picks up Che!!!

Lucas correct me if I'm wrong:

Soderbergh did the grading on his Scratch system.

saw che2 tonight at tiff, really great film! It looked so good, had to keep reminding myself that it was shot on a medium we all now have access to! I'm jumping out of my skin waiting for my camera now! Come on #4111

Congratulations to Steven, Benicio and the Cast and Crew of Che. We can't wait to see it on the big screen. And thank you Steven for using a truly revolutionary medium to tell the story of a true revolutionary. Red has liberated filmmakers and fights for freedom for stories that otherwise would never be told. It's a very exciting time to be part of the revolution.

Hi Sean,

Yes - Che was edited on FCP, and the entire DI was done on SCRATCH.

We will have much more information coming out about how it was done, etc, when we finish an official "customer story." Since the movie has not come out yet, getting PR, official stuff, etc., is difficult - as it is with any unreleased movie.

But... Soderbergh's team bought a SCRATCH, and worked in conjunction with Technicolor NYC and their SCRATCH system to make a complete color workflow happen, with pretty impressive results.
